Wonder Wednesday #47...

Wonder Wednesday - The Love of Reading (Part Three)

*This is the third of an on-going series I'm going to post each Wednesday.

*I love posting on Wednesdays because it is all about the WONDERS of books, reading, and all that comes with it.

*Toward the end of the school year, I had my students respond to some questions I had about their reading lives.

*Each student filled out a reading survey with six questions to answer.

*I will post their thoughts here on Wednesdays throughout the summer.

*One of my most favorite things to do as an educator is to get feedback from my students.

*Here is a look at a couple of my students' responses from the survey I gave...

STUDENT #5 - Claire

Before I was in fourth grade I thought that reading was boring
because I never really did it.

Now that I'm almost done with fourth grade I think that reading is awesome
because it is so easy and fun.

This year I learned that as a reader I get "trapped" in a book
because I find myself reading for hours on end.

To me reading is fun
because it's nice to find and read a good book.

As a reader I'm most proud that I can read big books
because
I know how to enjoy it better.

The best thing about reading is everything
because it's so easy and fun to do.

STUDENT #6 - Asher

Before I was in fourth grade I thought that reading was boring
because I did not enjoy it.

Now that I'm almost done with fourth grade I think that reading is fun
because I love new interesting books.

This year I learned that as a reader I can get sucked into books
because
they are really interesting.

To me reading is interesting
because there are such cool books to read.

As a reader I'm most proud that I read some pretty big books
because
I don't normally read big books.

The best thing about reading is the plot
because that is the best part.
