Picture Wednesday - Back to School
*Every Wednesday I share a photograph with my students.
*We use this photo as a springboard to our writing.
*I show the picture to the class and we discuss for a few minutes.
*The writers then have five minutes to write in their writer's notebooks.
*They can write about their reactions to the photograph, what it reminds them of, or create a piece of fiction. Anything is acceptable as long as it ties in to the picture.
*After the five minutes, we then have some of the writers share out.
*This was our first picture of the year and we titled it "Back to School."
