Friend Friday #74 (The Daring Escape of the Misfit Menageire)...

Hi!  We are Maci and Dhoha and we read the book called The Daring Escape of the Misfit Menagerie written by Jacqueline Resnick.

We think this book was really cool because there are a lot of events in the story and some of them are good events and some of them are horrible events.

Our favorite part in the story was when the animals escaped because they finally had freedom and they leave happy and hopefully will have a better life.

The character that we liked best was Wombat because he was funny and did a lot of great things during the story.

We think the author wrote this book because
she likes animals and wanted to write a story about them.

We would recommend this book to our friends because our class book club read it and we all liked it so we are pretty sure that other readers will like it just as much.  It is a great adventure story.

Reading to us is great because there are so many different types of stories out there and brings us so much joy.  It is great to read a book and not be able to put it down.

*Maci and Dhoha were members our "Breakfast with Books" book club that met this morning.

*We were lucky enough to be able to Skype with Jacqueline about this awesome book.

*The book club spent about a half an hour or so with her and had the opportunity to ask questions.

*The author was awesome and was so fun to talk to.

*I know the other kids in my class that didn't meet with us or read this book, were a bit disappointed after hearing the rave reviews from the book club members.

*There are many students in my class excited to read this first book and the sequel called A Valiant Quest for the Misfit Menagerie

*Thanks Jacqueline Resnick for Skyping with us.  It was so much fun!
